BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE HOTEL, KOS

INTERIOR DESIGN OF MAIN COMMON SPACES

Α very big and luxurious hotel with many common spaces, with very high demands on design and quality. The main concept underlying the general architectural design of the hotel is the very interesting natural geomorphology of the site, the magnificent views but at the same time the preservation of a traditional ambience by creating a ‘village plaza’ in the core of the complex, where various common uses are held together. In order to respect and highlight these choices, but also to please the need of the visitors for great variety of choices, we designed each space very differently, with different elements and materials, with an almost scenographic way. In the reception area we placed a traditional boat, a ‘trechandiri’, constructed in Symi, the birthplace of the owner, which welcomes the visitor in a warm yet impressive manner, in a space that opens up to a breathtaking view of the sea. For the various restaurants and bars we use many structural and graphic elements, materials, furniture, colors  in ways that create a different feeling each time. Neoclassical luxury for the central greek restaurant, minimal and graphic accents for the asian restaurants, earthly materials and textures for a wine bar by the sand.
